  • Export to CSV — download any single transaction or a customer’s full record list for offline use. Expense exports also carry the active period.

🌐 Web & Server Updates

Several improvements were made across the web application and the backend to keep reporting consistent between platforms.

📈 Period-Aware Reporting on the Web

  • Financial Reports dashboard — added a period picker (Today, This Week, This Month, Last Month, Last 30 Days, This Quarter, This Year, All Time, and Custom) that scopes the P&L, revenue, and expenses sections without disturbing the balance sheet.
  • Expenses dashboard — summary cards, charts, and per-category breakdowns now respond to the active date range everywhere, not just in the record list.

⚙️ Backend Enhancements

  • Profit & Loss endpoint now honours period presets — a shared resolvePeriod helper converts named periods (this_month, last_month, this_quarter, etc.) into concrete date ranges. Every response now echoes the resolved period so clients can confirm what was applied.
  • Expenses summary and chart endpoints accept date filters — start and end dates now flow through the entire expenses stack, matching the record list.
  • Assets, liabilities, and accounts endpoints hardened — pagination parameters are now optional. Requests without them return the full dataset, letting dashboard views show accurate totals without depending on cross-screen state.
  • Improved error handling — network errors are classified (offline, timeout, server unreachable, HTTP error) and retried with consistent user-facing messaging.

🛠️ Fixes & Improvements

This initial release includes several fixes and refinements made throughout development and testing, helping improve the mobile and web experience and its everyday workflows.

Notably:

  • Improved barcode scanning reliability, including support for creating products and recording sales directly from a scan.
  • Refined navigation across core screens for faster access to everyday tasks.
  • Expanded sale detail view to include tax breakdowns, discounts, wholesale totals, wallet usage, and split payment information.
  • Corrected credit summary display so the customer’s current credit always reflects the backend’s effective credit — including sales, services, and manual adjustments.
  • Aligned print and export output with on-screen summaries so printed reports match what’s displayed in the app.
  • Fixed period filtering across expenses — summary cards, charts, and per-type tiles now correctly reflect the selected date range on both mobile and web.
  • Fixed assets and liabilities loading on the mobile finance dashboard — totals now populate reliably, with supplier debt surfaced alongside structured liabilities.
  • Unified print styling — all printed reports (expenses, creditors, creditors aggregated) share a consistent layout, header, and period banner.
  • General stability and performance improvements throughout the app.
